Full On Summer
Hard to believe it’s the middle of July! I’ve done 5 shows so far this year. The last one was close to Mother, so I stayed with her and enjoyed her company & help in the booth! Even with all of the shows, I still managed to get in a garden & have kept it weeded & watered. I much appreciate that hubby Bob does the watering when I’m away at shows. The cherry crop was great this year. Only three peaches have survived the hail and wind, but those trees are young. The apple trees are LOADED, and I’ve tied holographic tape in them to discourage the birds. They can have the high ones, but I want the apples I can reach! And our Texas and Russian sage plants are in beautiful bloom.
The all-state audition music is about to be announced and my students are itching to get started on it. They’ll be in summer band sessions as soon as August hits.
Interest in my woven wire pieces has taken off, and I’m having fun pursuing this medium. I’ve even created some cool shadow boxes for those who are fascinated by the woven wire, but don’t wear jewelry. They’ll make great gifts! Tearing down from shows is hectic, and I don’t try to sort the jewelry into their categories as I pack up. So that’s a required task once I get home. As I was sorting after this last show, I decided it was a good time to put a number of them on sale! See what goodies are available at substantial discounts here: https://mladycreations.com/collections/on-sale
I hope you've had an amazing summer so far and the rest is just as spectacular.
